The Indian Harvest

Local team review
The lunch buffet is where I'd send anyone who thinks they don't like Indian food — the variety lets you taste your way from mild butter chicken to fiery vindaloo, and the value is exceptional. The palak paneer was silky and well-spiced, with house-made paneer so soft and fresh it was obviously not from a package. What impressed me most was the chana masala: a humble chickpea dish elevated by perfectly balanced ginger, cumin, and slow-cooked tomato-onion gravy that tasted like it had been simmering all morning. Twenty-five years of consistency is its own kind of excellence.
About the Restaurant
The Indian Harvest has been Naperville's most trusted Indian kitchen since 1998, and its longevity speaks to a kitchen that refuses to coast. The butter chicken is the gateway: creamy, gently spiced, with tomato richness that lingers, but the real depth is in the biryani, layered with saffron, fried onions, and slow-cooked lamb. The lunch buffet is one of the best values in town, and the dinner service brings a more refined pace with dishes that show off the kitchen's range. Vegetarians are treated as first-class citizens here, not afterthoughts.
