Temptinn, which opened on Washington Street in late 2024, is doing something no other Naperville restaurant attempts: Indian fusion that draws from Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Thai kitchens without losing the soul of Indian cooking. The tandoori tacos, smoky chicken tikka in a mini tortilla with chutney and pickled onion, worked because the spice profile was unmistakably Indian even in a Mexican vessel. The cocktail menu leans into the fusion concept with drinks like a tamarind margarita and a chai espresso martini that earned double-takes from neighboring tables. Late-night hours on Friday and Saturday, running until 1 AM, make this a rare downtown option for post-dinner drinks with substance.
