Fogo de Chao

Local team review
Don't make the rookie mistake of loading up at the market table — the smoked salmon and imported cheeses are extraordinary, but your stomach has an appointment with the picanha, and you need to keep that reservation. The lamb chops, herb-crusted and pulled pink from the skewer, were the surprise highlight on our last visit: a single perfect bite that made me rethink my entire strategy. The papaya cream dessert is the palate cleanser you didn't know you needed after two hours of continuous meat. Come hungry, leave in a pleasant daze.
About the Restaurant
Fogo de Chao turns dinner into an event. Gauchos roam the dining room with skewers of picanha, lamb chops, and bacon-wrapped filet, carving tableside until you flip your card to red. The Market Table alone, with its imported cheeses, smoked salmon, and hearts of palm, could constitute a meal. The Naperville location draws families, date-nighters, and out-of-town visitors in equal measure, all united by the primal thrill of unlimited perfectly grilled meat.
Insider Tip
Go easy on the Market Table and bread, save room for the picanha (top sirloin cap), which is the cut that defines Brazilian churrasco.
