DeEtta's Bakery

Local team review
There's a narrow window on Saturday mornings — roughly 7:30 to 9:00 AM — when the cinnamon rolls are still warm and the line hasn't formed yet. Hit that window, and you'll understand the hype. But the sleeper pick is the cranberry orange scone: buttery, crumbly, bright with citrus, and substantial enough to pair with a strong coffee and call it breakfast. The custom birthday cake we ordered for our daughter was a showstopper that tasted even better than it looked, which is the highest compliment I can pay a celebration cake.
About the Restaurant
DeEtta's opens early and fills Fifth Avenue with the smell of cinnamon rolls, fresh-baked bread, and butter, which is basically the best alarm clock a neighborhood could ask for. Everything is baked from scratch daily, from the oversized muffins to the custom celebration cakes that anchor birthdays and weddings across Naperville. The cinnamon rolls are the gateway drug: massive, sticky, and warm from the oven. It's the kind of bakery that makes you feel like you're buying from someone who cares about every tray that comes out of the oven, because she does.
Insider Tip
Get the cinnamon rolls before 9 AM on Saturday, they sell out by mid-morning, and reheating a day-old one isn't the same.
