The new Bar Louie at Naperville Crossings replaces the shuttered downtown location with a polished, lounge-forward space that leans hard into its cocktail program. We settled in during happy hour and started with the Thai Crispy Calamari, rings dusted in togarashi seasoning and served with a sweet chili dip that brought genuine heat. The Louie's Choice burger arrived cooked medium-well as the house standard, a custom-blend patty under white cheddar and their signature Louie sauce that splits the difference between remoulade and special sauce. Chicken Nachos came loaded enough to anchor a table of four, with black beans, queso, and a spicy chili aioli drizzled across the top. The cocktail list runs deep, from classic Old Fashioneds to seasonal creations that rotate monthly. Weekend brunch adds another layer, drawing crowds for bottomless mimosas and a DJ set that starts at noon. The vibe skews younger and louder than most Naperville spots, which is part of its appeal.
